Perhaps stop the O/Ps and sink that into savings, if you are safe you can then drop the money into a bulk O/P. The extra money in the bank would give you additional breathing space.

Thanks Movingforwards, im fortunate in the respect that we do have an emergency fund with roughly 4 months ( 5 if we where really frugal) living costs in. OH also has a recent inheritance that we could fall back on ( this is his retirement fund) so we are a very fortunate and if the worst did happen we could manage until I found another job. I don’t want to stop the overpayments to the mortgage, if anything it’s spurring me on to get it gone.

Been looking at new carpet today, we will use our refund from our holiday in May as I think it’s unlikely we will go away this year. Looking forward to getting some outstanding jobs done around the house and our bedroom could do with freshing up so I’ll use any remaining annual leave for this now.

Good luck tomorrow, hope you get an outcome you're happy with. If it helps, it feels like I've had a weight lifted since I finished with my company, despite not finding a new job yet. I don't think I realised how much it was getting me down x

Good luck tomorrow and adjusting your O/Ps is the right thing to do at the moment.

    Fingers crossed.
