I would guess it's because the chances of getting caught are incredibly small - there's barely any police on the streets these days, speed cameras are bright yellow, mapping apps show the locations of speed cameras (even mobile ones) and, even if you don't have an app, oncoming road users will flash like crazy and wave their hands at you to warn you you're approaching a camera van.Deleted_User said:Stupid question maybe but why where you doing double the speed limit?
And even if you do get caught, the punishments are very weak and fines are low. Speed awareness courses don't prevent people speeding, they're just a minor inconvenience.
