If anyone has got any ideas how should I proceed please advise
Ingenious used the same dodgy 'free PPI check' sign-up method that somehow morphs into a claim without the individual's informed consent or knowledge as Allay Claims.
I helped beat Allay in court recently, you should use the same arguments in your complaint as in the judgment Allay LOSE in Court - LegalBeagles Forum

I feel I have been misled by the way this solisitors company has been advertising via Facebook in the first place. I have previously done a ppi claim by myself. When I have filled my details I thought I am checking only if I am eligible. I was not aware I am involing someone else to claim on my behalf. It has been 2 years an I cannot remember what king if link it has been. .Surely whatever I have filled or done via digital devices I would have expected to be followed up by text, email, letter or any other kind of correspondence/ communication. It is a process and the second part of it it has failed. I received the funds and I thought this is down to my application. I did not give second thought to it. I was not knowingly aware I have singed a contract with Ingenious Legal ltd.. The lack of any correspondendence has not given me the chance to correct my mistake during the 14 days cooling off period.,because I did not know I have signed an agreement. How could the lack of correspondence from solisitors can be justified ? Why I was not copied in any letters of claim? Why I was not being kept informed ? Clearly that does sound like informed consent. Even if you contracting for a phone or anything else you would receive a letter / email to make you aware of a agreement or contract. 10 months after I received the funds I received the invoice.Although the process has started way before covid I am sure the delay will be blaimed on covid. Many people like myself have been misled by giving consent to something which has not been clearly advertised and it had not been followed up by appropriate confirmatory letter, email etc. It is easy to complete details online but the process should not stop there. The banks should be vigilant of such cases. This unsatisfactory practise of Ingenious Legal Ltd.has to change. It is unacceptable. What could it be done?0

Yes, they do.
And many of us, though obviously not all and hence the advice, are able to distinguish between those and the obvious rip offs.
But responding to them has never been compulsory.

Unfortunately, whilst many people can spot a scam or dodgy advert easily. Others seem to fall for them time and again.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
