That's a good point because anyone can use this to get out of a contract simply by saying they are moving and giving them an address far from the nearest exchange/cabinet so the speeds will be poor. 

Good point guys no they did not ask for proof of my address at all. 

However that being said they sent all my closing statements etc to my new address so if someone was to fraudulently put a random address then their future communications would go to an incorrect address.
