I paid off my grad loan etc by December last year, so I haven't been working towards paying anything back, but have managed to save £5000 or so this year. I had hoped to save £8000 originally, but that didn't really happen! Mind you, that's still saving £420 a month, which is about 40% of my take home pay, so I'm pretty pleased with that nonetheless!
Congrats all - I realise I am jumping right in on the end of this thread.Student Loan Company Ltd: 17,805 (2.8%) Overdraft: 500 (Interest free)

madmich, sorry to read about your job news. I hope things turn around soon, and yes you are right - without the debt busting you have already done, you would be in a far worse place.

Payday today and usual payments made, so my final total will be £6386.63.
I have actually paid another £1223 off a student loan, which I hadn't even counted in my debts as it goes out of my wages, so I suppose it would be cheating to count it now (you can see I'm scrabbling around to try and make this challenge total look a bit better  ). Still, the student loan finishes early next year, so that will be an extra £100 a month in my pay packet :j .
I haven't got anywhere near my target, but I have come out of this year a much wiser woman. I think everyone's heading over to the new challenge (thank you, hypno) and I just want to say thank you to everyone for joining me in this one.
