Hi everyone
I have been chipping away at my debt, paying off small amounts every few days online. so far I have managed to pay off £624.55. Just paid £10.00 off on my CC.
I hope to pay a larger sum before my payment date is due in the begining of December.
Keep going everyone.

Earthstrong you are almost debt free! Keep chipping away!
I am getting ready for the next challenge which will presumably start on 1st December again
As we are now half way through November, and having hit my target for this year, I am starting to think about the next one.....getting ahead of myself as alwaysSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. Hi everyone.
I'm so pleased that you are all doing so well.
Hypno - you're enthusiasm for the next £20,000 has really changed my mood today. I'm ashamed to say that I've sort of given up on this challenge and have been a bit depressed about the whole debt situation, which of course has meant that nothing's got any better (vicious circle  ).
I've actually added up my figures today (been doing a bit of a head in the sand thing recently) and at the end of this month I will have paid off over £6000, which is better than I thought.
Still, I could have done much better if I'd seen the light and truly stopped faffing earlier.
When I started this thread, as usual I had my head in the clouds and only had a vague idea of an end date (Christmas ish). When is everyone else finishing?
Thanks to everyone who has kept the thread going -without you all I probably would have been another £6000 in debt instead of in £6000 less debt. I hope one of you will start a new challenge for next year and let me join (for a more realistic and achievable figure, now that I've had my full and final lightbulb moment).

Polly..don't be so hard on yourself. You've paid £6000 off so that's an amazing achievement as is what everyone else has paid off.
It's your thread that has encouraged loads of us to give it a go and pushed us...thanks for that.
However much any of us has paid off is a great achievement.
Looking forward to the next challenge whatever that may be.0 -
Hi Polly
I would certainly agree with Taxi, if it wasn't for you starting this thread I wouldn't have been in the position I am in today. All the achievements we have made have been a step in the right direction. Definitely agree with what the others have said, I never thought we'd make £10k let alone nearly £12k  It's been a great motivator! No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

Hi all
I have been a bit quiet on this thread as I realised that there was no way I would make the £20k. BUT this thread is what got me motivated and what made me kick myself up the backside and was actually where I posted my first ever post and I was really pleased to see it pop back up the board today.
Polly - without you starting this thread I would not have reduced my debt by anything near the amount that I have (if at all) and I may never have even joined the site. A wholehearted thank you from me.

polly, you say you have paid off £6k this year, and that without the challenge of this thread you would probably be £6k more in debt instead of £6k less in debt.
so, therefore you can reasonably concede that you are £12k less in debt because of this challenge than you would otherwise have been!
