so, therefore you can reasonably concede that you are £12k less in debt because of this challenge than you would otherwise have been!

Er, if you say so hypno. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

  • I think that 8k will be my limit. Still, £8k though, that's great.

Technically more too as we've put one creditor off with a cca.

    Hi everyone,
Have been having a read through to catch up and am very impressed by what everyone has acheived. Only £7,724.35 for me so far, aim to make it £8,000 before Christmas. Polly, I agree with what everyone has said, if not for this thread I don't think I would have paid off this much. So thank you. And if it wasn't for MSE I am sure I would have added to my debt rather than reduce it. In addition to this I have managed to get my head around matched betting at last and have been saving my profits towards a holiday next year. I made the decision not to pay this off my debts but to begin to get into the habit of saving for what I want. For me going on holiday without putting it on the credit card is an achievement in itself. Good luck for the last few weeks everyone.

That all sounds great Jess..think loads of us feel that if we hadn't have found MSE when we did we'd be in a lot worse position today. It doesn't even bear thinking about.
We have all done fantastically well and heres to the next challenge.
  • Hi all

Sorry I've not posted on here for a while. I've just had the worst week of my life. I got made redundant yesterday and I've been told that they want me to work my notice which is fine unless I find another job. And then today my OH has been told that his hours at work are now going down to part time. I now need to make my OH see sence and by value food and not buying stuff that we don't need.

I was thinking at least I have managed to reduce my debts this year because if I hadn't I would be in such a bad place. Wish me luck ringing my creditors to let them know they may not get any money.

Hi madmich, sorry to hear about the redundancy, if you need any help, then you know where we are. It might be a good time to do an SOA on http://www.makesenseofcards.com/soacalc.html and see where you are.
