The judge reckoned that the sign contained about 700 words, and that the average person would take about 3 minutes to read it. I would suggest that Doris the dinner lady would take much longer, if she bothered to at all. I think that the judge should have made a lot more of the inadequate signage. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.4

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.6 -
Mark the Mensa member is less likely to get a ticket in the first place imo. I suspect that D,E. and F NRA social grades get proportionally more tickets than the rest of us.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

The signs are also well above head height, making them very difficult to read, since the lettering is only 0.5cm tall.5

I think the judges comments about certain people and organisations being "invited to …" is a little like a Police ossifer suggesting that someone should do something, and then saying please to make it sound like a request rather than an order.I married my cousin. Just read through the judgment ... dynamite stuff!
Some parts did make me smile though, especially the many nom-de-plumes of the paralegal ... was the DDJ making his own Matt Murdoch(k) parody?7
