Shawbrook Bank - Routine Maintenance or website crash.

Hi. I just opened a new cash ISA at Shawbrook bank. I was able to log in to the new account but when I went back to check the account number to make the initial deposit the savings login displays "Routine Website Maintenance on eSavings". 10:30am Monday morning seems an odd time to begin routine maintenance? The website was incredibly slow when I managed to log in earlier so I was wondering if it`s crashed. Do any existing Shawbrook customers experience the website being down a lot or is this just a one-off? As a new customer of a `challenger` bank I`m probably just over thinking it...

It's always been a bit sluggish but bearably so. Today it seems to have collapsed entirely, and that's a bit annoying. This can happen, though, at any bank. Don't worry. Your money in Shawbrook is FSCS protected, up to £85k.1

Same situation - opened ISA on Saturday and was able to log on over the weekend, today unable to get into account to see if deposit has arrived. Bit worrying as I am a new Shawbrook customer as well. Hopefully just the current situation that is causing the problem.

If you have an urgent matter to discuss with them, you can call them. 0345 266 6611, Mo - Fri 09:00 - 17:30. I called them a bit earlier, there were 11 people ahead of me but I only had to wait for about 5 minutes. Their internal systems seem to be working fine and they can make transactions for you.
Hopefully their website will be up and running again tomorrow - apparently an upgrade went wrong and they had they had to back out and start all over again. It's still dead as a dodo right now.....1 -
Website seems to be back. My accounts have been updated correctly.1

Blimey, that is bad, even under the circumstances. As I said, though, I found their CS very accessible and very good yesterday, so not all is lost.0

Their website seems to be working now as I have just logged into my new ISA0

Down again just now.
Let`s hope it`s not another TSB fiasco.0 -
Was working fine at around 9 p.m. this evening, but the site did warn of possible issues ...A chicken crossing the road is poultry in motion0

I had to log in this morning to read a new document they had advised by email. The first step of the login took a good 90 seconds, and from then on, response time was superb. The first step checks your ID and password, so it seems they have an issue with their member database. This first step has always been a bit slow but for the last few days it has been several times slower than before. Still, once my current ISA transfer is completed, I won't have any reason to log in for another year or two, and even if you have an instant access ISA, you don't need to log in frequently.0
