  • All right then, what would people here do if there fridge was empty, and both of their local supermarkets tell them that they are welcome to queue, but they won't reach the door for at least an hour???

Lloyds are the problem in that they chose to reduce branch hours, why should I gift an hour of my time to wait for them????
There are 2 million newly unemployed that could take up phone support jobs.

Willing2Learn  if you think £400 is a bit of loose change, then why are you here??

I've used skype to call Lloyds for at least the last 2 years and it wasn't a problem, so it can't be a problem now.

I visit MSE regularly.  Occasionally for advice, but mostly to give advice to others.

Why don't you paint the full picture in this thread, instead of drip-feeding info.  If you are struggling financially due to lack of income during the pandemic, then ask for advice.

You may find it useful to post up your Statement of Affairs (SOA) in the main Debt-Free Wannabe board.

    I am totally confused too.
First he says his internet banking is locked then says his account is blocked and Skype with no number is a red herring?
This is what I understand - internet banking is locked if the wrong personal data is inputted wrongly - such as an imposter repeatedly trying different passwords or memorable information or more likely by the customer doing this. Unlocking is fairly simple if you follow the unlock prompts and the bank has your home or mobile telephone number. This is needed to send you a temporary password for you to get back online. I don't know whether him having Skype with 'no number' is the problem?
If his internet banking is locked but his account is not he can go down to any ATM and withdraw his £400 and go and open an account elsewhere.
If the account is blocked for say an investigation then that is a wholly different matter - the money will be frozen until Lloyds are satisfied that it is legitimate.

I think   Lloyds have beaten you to it and given you the long finger by  blocking your account.
and both of their local supermarkets tell them that they are welcome to queue, but they won't reach the door for at least an hour???
Have you been to the supermarket recently. Our local ones have , on occasion, had an hour's queue to get in. Most days there is a half hour queue.

If you go to the supermarket early in the morning 0700-0800, then there is no queue at all.  Not in my local supermarket anyhow...

  • MSE probably spent tens of thousands on this new (inferior) platform. Shame it didn't spend a few £ targeting the trolls that prolificate the forums.
Not sure where POF came from, auto correct perhaps.

I tend to go after 6pm, never any queues ;-)
