Yes - definitely slap down and tread on the suggestion of losing the case due to it being heard on the papers!
The only thing I would change is, you may have to accept a telephone hearing so you could put that as a second choice. Or explain why in your household (or due to your job, or children or whatever) a remote hearing won't work. I updated the telephone hearings thread about a week ago with a new template about explaining that you don't have a 'quiet room' etc. if that's true in your case.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

They have recently changed the terms of parking at this site, visitors beware !
The signage was misleading before and it still is. For the guy to say the signage + lettering is audited by the IPC to ensure high compliance is a joke.
It used to be 3 hours free or £2 all day. Now the town is up in arms as it is 30 minutes free then £1 , no return within 60 minutes. 3 different signs around the car park, if visitors only read the one that says 'Free 30 minutes parking - after this period parking tariffs apply. All day parking only £1 (7 am to 6 pm) they will be caught out with the no return as it doesnt mention it. Another sign is a usual 3000 words, a magnifier needed. By the time the sign has been read, the 30 minutes free time will be up and no shopping done.2 -
For the guy to say the signage + lettering is audited by the IPC to ensure high compliance is a joke.Who do you think wrote that response from the Arndale Centre? Clue - it wasn't 'the guy'! It was completely full of PPC-speak!Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Contact the council planning department and ask what the original planning conditions were when planning approval was granted for the car park. If it was three hours but has since been reduced without new planning approval for the change, then complaints should be made to the council planning department.
Also ask if planning permission was ever granted for any ANPR scameras, and advertising consent was ever given for the signs. Not having the latter is a criminal offence, although only the council can do anything about it.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

I asked the council in April about planning permission/cameras etc etc and despite a couple of polite requests, saying I appreciate the situation etc , I still not had anything.
I will send another and will include the new signage.
I will also be back onto our MP who is aware of my case and said would look into it.
Thank you.1 -
