See my earlier post ... I've linked the item which is the product number the OP mentions. (I searched by the product number, not the generic term).

Then it's clearly an error on the Woodhouse website and the item is 'not as described'.
  • I contacted Woodhouse and they didnt seem the slightest bit bothered.   They also said they would look into it and get back to me which they have not.  So now i'll draft up a nice email.

How long have you given them to get back to you?
You first posted last Wednesday morning.
    That's only 4 days.
I wouldn't say that was unreasonable given the situation we're currently in.

    How did you contact them?
    Phone?
    Email?

Also - what do you mean by 'didn't seem slightest bit bothered'?
I would expect a company to note my complaint and say 'we'll look into it and get back to you'.
    Is that what they said?
I wouldn't expect profuse apologies at the initial contact stage.

Hi, I contacted them through their online Help Portal.  The customer service adviser basically said your entitled to a refund, she then left it at that. Only when I said I was not happy at being sold plastic sandals instead of what is advertised 'Leather' sandals is when she said she will get someone to look into it and get back to me. I'll wait a few more days before emailing them.
There website descriptions are still advertising the hem as leather!

If she immediately agreed that you are entitled to a refund, I wouldn't class that as 'didn't seem slightest bit bothered'.
Are you looking for something in addition to a full refund?

I'm quite surprised that their website is saying they are leather, I'd have expected a supplier to copy the product description from the manufacturer's website.

Once I'd got my refund, if the website is still advertising them as leather, I'd be inclined to drop a note to Birkenstock to tell them that a supplier is misrepresenting their products.
