It's not about the bills that he is concerned about...and we have no where for it even if we re-arrange. House is too tiny.
You said you needed your own money for the house bills. If you need your own money you will make room for the computer however small your house is.

Seriously?! There is NO ROOM we have tried every option for space , we have no where for an additional desk, no where for the computer to sit and wont reach the wifi ....

    It really is NOT possible!

I find that comment absolutely ridiculous.

The computer won't reach the wifi? Really? It's wifi for a reason.

The op has already stated that her employer requires the computer to be connected with an ethernet cable..
The solution for now would seem to replace her own computer with the work computer to enable to work.
It doesn't seem that her employer is being overly helpful but at the same time nor is her husband. Surely your health is more important to your husband then having something connected to his router with an ethernet cable ?

The OP doesn't want to fit the PC in simple as that. If someone really wanted to work they'd move their own PC or MAKE it fit.

you don't need an extra desk, do you think everyone working from home right now has bought a new desk?.
Just move your own PC. I find it ridiculous you tried to blame your husband not wanting it wired as the reason you couldn't have the work computer at home

Agree, you'd just put your own pc in a wardrobe and get working if you needed the money and fancied keeping your job

lol at times I've had to fit two pcs on my desk if my children's pc needed attention. If your husband is a software engineer, he should know its very very easy to get a 10m or 20m RJ45 cable for internet connection so you can put PC anywhere in the house at all.  I do this for my children's pcs upstairs in their bedrooms.  You could just have it next to a chair/sofa with the keyboard on a large book.

It might be an idea to get work to send an email saying what the components are, how you need to set it up (is the blue cable an internet cable, for example?).  Turn the pc off when not using it.  I don't know how it could track anything if its not connected to anything when not in use.  Although I think its a bit of a 'conspiracy theory' that it is able to do this in such a way its checking up on your daily lives.

I wonder if hubby is adding to the stress in your life in some way?  Would it be worth speaking to someone about this to find ways of dealing with things like this?

I have arthritis and possibly fibromyalgia (hospital said it wasn't worth diagnosing it as its treated the same way as rh arthritis).  I use painkillers prescribed by the GP but don't like taking them as they are quite high dosage so limit myself to one dose a day.., I use a Hemp Active Gel.  Really helps.  Sounds daft but a hot water bottle helps as well.  Experiment, read around and see what you can find to help you be more pain free.  That might help you deal with challenges, I know when I'm feeling a lot of pain, its quite difficult to be positive /deal with things you could otherwise find a way around. Keeping busy helps.  . I'm presently slowly scraping off a textured wall.  One hand is twice the size of the other, its a very slow and uncomfortable job, but its so much better than doing nothing. Its helps me to know I can still do things.

I would not be allowed to use my own computer due to security.... so I dont have space for 3 computers.
    1. My own desktop computer
    2. My husbands desktop computer with his gaming set up
    3. My work computer...
Ive got no storage safe enough to put my computer. Unless you guys want it broke ?

Where am I going to my computer which is in use, my house Is literally so small I have no where else for it for goodness sake and I am not blaming my husband because I can't be bothered... he's literally had a shouting match with me twice about the fact he doesnt want the work computer plugged in to the wifi.  and I have to respect that... if I had my way I'd be working at home ... I was told on a laptop... and promised it would be a laptop and that I wouldn't need the cable. Because my husband had caused such a massive deal about it.

I DO want to keep my job which is why I am travelling to and from the office.
My work wont allow me to buy another cable to fit , it has to be the one from work . I've asked work for all the information I need with what the cable is used for, they won't answer. They won't tell me. So no it's not as simple as you all suggest.

    Oh well it doesnt matter
