PIP isn't about not being able to work, or about a diagnosis. It's how those conditions affect your ability to carry out daily activity based on the PIP descriptor. Have a look at this link. It's long but it will give you more understanding of the descriptors and what they mean. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/personal-independence-payment-assessment-guide-for-assessment-providers/pip-assessment-guide-part-2-the-assessment-criteria
Evidence will be needed to support your claim because they rarely contact anyone for this. A successful claim could take many months, especially now because of Covid19 and backlogs will be even bigger than usual.

Due to the lockdown lots of people are unable to go to work or are working from home, are you still working?

what would I need for evidence?
To prove how your conditions affect your ability to carry out daily activity based on the PIP descriptors.

You can apply anytime, providing you've had the condition for at least 3 months and expect it to last at least a further 9 months. I would expect both of those criteria to apply, i have fibro myself (amongst other things) and i claim PIP.

Face to face assessments have been suspended by DWP for 3 months, at least. If you apply now you will have 3 months in which to return the form. Like i said, backlogs will be huge so don't expect it to be a quick claim.
I willing advise learning about and fully understanding PIP before starting the claim. Right now they are giving 3 months from the date you phone up to fill in and return the form, but if you're still having to work and especially if you end up catching the virus from having to travel to and from work, those 3 months could whizz by before you've got your head around the descriptors and concepts of PIP. Maybe take a month or so to prepare yourself then start the claim, because if you claim right now and then found yourself completely stuck and couldn't return the form in time, they would close your claim - and you can't reapply unless you have a change in your health. and you'd have to start all over again but you *would* be able to reapply.

Evidence would include any notes or letters from appointments that led up to being diagnosed, and of course proof of the diagnosis itself (I assume a letter).

Not sure that's true for PIP although it would be for ESA.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

No, that's not correct for PIP.

It wouldn't need to be plugged into the router. That is the idea of a wire free connection

So they want to send home a huge desktop and not a laptop?

Doubt anyone with extensive knowledge of computers would believe a blue wire was there to track you. I call bull
Yes! Like all the computers are gone from the office and people started to take them home with them. So bulky...
I've honestly tried to change his opinions and argued with work about it. Caused more hassle so said Its not worth my time.

If your OH wont let you work from home, when you have the ability to if you rearrange some furinture then he can cough up for all the bills.
Good luck with your PIP application but please be aware this can take months and months before you might get anything paid so cannot be relied on to pay your bills right now.

It's not about the bills that he is concerned about...and we have no where for it even if we re-arrange. House is too tiny.
