I'm not keen on putting my money away for five years, especially if it attracts tax. I'd consider it if it were an ISASpeculator said:Closing issue 1 and 3 tomorrow and will transfer it to the 1.9% RCI 5 yr bond.
Keeping issue 2 for the 1.3% rate.I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0 -
I closed both my extant YBS RS accounts (Issues 2 and 3) on Friday online. Money arrived in my bank account Saturday morning, very efficient.
For info of those closing Monday:-
Issue 2 was opened on 8 August 2019, with £250 deposited on that date and then on 1st of the month September to April (total deposited £2250). Interest added=£20.64.
Issue 3 was opened on 27 Feb 2020, with £300 deposited 27 Feb, 1 March and 1 April. Total deposit was £900. Interest added was a mere £1.75.

The only benefit I can see to keeping the issue 3 open iswhere_are_we said:I will continue with issue 2, down to 1.3% tomorrow. What is the benefit of continuing issue 1 and 3 with a minimum monthly SO of £10? I will be closing 1 and 3 unless I`m missing something.
- if interest rates rocket between now and next February when it matures (slim to nil chance)
- they launch a “members only product” (unlikely)
- if you want keep £100 in to vote at the AGM0 -
Or things get so bad we start thinking 1% is goodMDMD said:

When I was withdrawing my funds this morning I noticed that they have a 1.05% “Single access” account (in both a taxable and ISA variant). Can’t be funded from existing accounts but gives even fewer reasons to pay into the RS issue 3.eddie7612 said:
