Can we join please? We are 90% certain husband is about to lose his job and feeling very stressed and worried.
I'm ashamed to admit our food budget has gone crazy as we are shielding and have been stuck between stocking up because we can't get deliveries for 3 weeks or then managing to get 2 deliveries within 5 days and the whole situation is messing everything up.
it's a 5 week month starting from tomorrow 23rd April. £75 a week (£375 for the month). This is approx £25 less per week than we have been spending but I urgently need to get it down even more than this. 2 Adults and 1 disabled child in our house - animal feed is separate but all other stuff including toiletries etc included.Everything is always better after a cup of tea7 -
£110.88 in Tesco today. All fresh stuff, alcohol, tupperware, cordials, sauces etc. Plan now is to live off the freezer this month and try and run it down to restock it next month. I plan to go to Lidl to pick up the things I buy from there at the weekend maybe. Now I’m back at work I’m consuming less but as I won’t use the kitchen facilities, microwave etc I’m relying on making up salads for lunch which can prove costly and hard to stay stocked up on at the minute. Really miss not paying in cash...8

Budgets updated to here
Due to going so massively over last month, I've increased my budget a little this month to £325 for 24th April to 25th May.
This is broken down into £225 (or £45 a week) for food shopping, and £100 for my household budget which includes all things like medicine items, lightbulbs, batteries, cleaning stuff, toiletries and any bulk buys such a couple of herbal teas I buy that work out cheaper than the supermarket to do on here, etc.
Already have my Subscribe & Save items (so worth it on certain items for the 15% discount!) coming out of Household to the tune of £61.14 this month. Other than that nothing spent so far (and those haven't actually come out of my bank yet) - I'm going to try and make my fresh stuff last although I'm running a little low, and avoid shop until Saturday. Shopping is still very much taking it out of me at the moment. Although it just occurred to me Saturday will be the busiest day but I don't want to go tomorrow really. Hmm, will see what transpires!Food Budget - £0 / £225
Household Budget - £61.14 / £100

Joining in for the first time in a while. Our food bill has gone up considerably with the kids home, 2 children eating an additional 15 meals a week at home plus additional treats to make up for not going out guilt adds up quite considerably.
Setting a target of £450 for the month as it will start with a long-awaited click and collect on the 1st which I expect to be quite expensive.7 -
I just bought a new laundry hamper as mine has been broken for about 2 years and it bugs me constantly! Decided to take it from my Household Grocery budget as I have enough there and it is a household item! So £15.39 spent.
Food Budget - £0 / £225
Household Budget £76.53 / £100

£28.00 today in the Co-op, hot dog rolls, tinned toms, wine and then the papers and a trifle as a treat to leave at my parents door. Can’t see me spending anything over the weekend.6

£27.22/£200 in Lidl today which should see us through the week - I doubled up on bananas and bread which should hopefully help fill OH’s hollow legs a bit! They only had east end brand tinned pulses which I won’t buy as they have added salt, so have started a list for Mr T and will only go there once the list is long enough to justify queuing - it’s likely to revolve around pulses and oat milk. And when I do go there I must stick to the list!Original mortgage free date: November 2044Current mortgage free date: November 2038Chipping away...8

We got paid and did the big shop today, so starting my May early.
Big Mr.T had “only” a thirty minute wait to get in, but were well stocked with just about everything, which was great.
The pantry was looking very, very bare today so this lot should keep us going well with only Topup’s of perishables from little tesco. Went to the butcher as well, and spent a load on a pork butt for pulled pork, a big beef roasting joint, and huge t bone steaks as hubs birthday treat, his 40th and we won’t be going out for a night on the town with a slap up dinner 😁€185.52 spent cos I’m not going back there for a month 😂😂7 -
I havent totted up April spends yet; but i want to change from the 26th of the month to the 26th as this is Payday, although i have been paid today as the 26th falls on Sunday. I am therefore cutting April short, as i would normally run the budget til the end. I've already gone over due to having to shop differently than usual.
I will be back to finalise the April spends at some point over the weekend.
Please put me down for £350 please Elsiepac. Apologies but i cant find the colour button or size format button.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £89.90/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month.
