Should I ask my cousin to contribute to petrol costs to work?

Don't forget to leave them behind a few times if they are late. Practice your innocent expression - "I thought you weren't coming"..7 -
I think I'd just accept that your cousin isn't going to offer so unless you ask you might just as well forget about it and see it as helping your nan out.
What you must speak up about though is if your cousin is making you late for work. That's really not on. You could lose your reputation with your employer or even your job.4 -
The lateness would bug me more than the money (although I'm lucky to be in the position of not being on a very tight budget, OP might be in a different situation), I'm a bit obsessive about timekeeping.
I think offering to meet the cousin somewhere would be a good compromise and OP could them make it clear that they will only wait until a certain time. I would certainly not be risking my own job for the sake of giving someone else a lift, cousin or not!
*Yes, I'm aware that the OP has now decided to let things ride for now. It's not difficult!
'Wander' - to walk or move in a leisurely manner.
'Wonder' - to feel curious.2 -
Being 2m away in a car doesn't count. None of you should be giving lifts to anyone.0

When did this change? This is really useful if you have the link? The latest I have is 8th April when the government said key workers could drive together, but please post the update as I have family who are key workers.QuackQuackOops said:Being 2m away in a car doesn't count.
