Netflix, is it worth having?

Been looking at getting Netflix and looking at the plans. I have a couple of questions to ask of anyone who already subscribes could answer for me please.
Looking at the plans the 'Standard' at 8.99 says you can watch on 2 screens at the same time. May be a silly question but does that mean that if you have 2 tvs, one upstairs and one downstairs you can screen a single show on both of them at the same time, or, that you can watch 2 different shows at the same time (one on each tv) meaning kids could watch one while we watch another?
Secondly, is there enough content on Netflix to make it worth the extra cost in comparison to Sky which we already have?
Thank you.

2 different shows on 2 different screens.

It's defintely worth having. In fact if you get netflix and amazon prime; you may decide sky isnt worth it, cancel (and then save on your TV licence too).

I've watched pretty much exclusively netflix for the last 12 months.

(also you can have your account on as many devices as you want, it's just the simultaneous usage is limited. so you can have all the phones, ipads, etc with netflix for when out of the house travelling etc)

Yes, you can watch independently on two devices at the same time.

Netflix has been very useful during the current restrctions! My little one finds loads of kids series and my husband likes the documentaries. Only criticism I have is shows can be hard to find. Google the codes you can use to reveal more things than are shown on the normal search function.

The algorithm is a bit funny, I used all 5 users to make sure that everyone got tailored content.

I cancelled sky movies , took out Netflix , Amazon video on an offer at £59 and then got a personalised offer from nowtv for sky cinema at £2.99 a month for 6 months.

I'm still paying less than before for much more content..

Also look at the Plex app , it has free movies and TV and also the rakuten TV app which has better free movies and TV. The Roku app is available on some devices but not all smart TVs , again free film

We've had Netflix for quite a while and it does seem represent reasonable value. There is quite a range of different sorts of programmes; children's and documentaries have been mentioned; already but there are also old British sitcoms and dramas, new films and old films, and international films. Some of the Netflix original productions are very good.
If you have Sky already, you might find that there is a certain amount of overlap, but I expect that there would be enough unique content to make it worth trying for the minimum contract period.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

We cancelled sky last summer and don't bother watching actual TV anymore. We have had Netflix for years and it has a good range. We also have prime and the new Disney app, and it all costs less per month than sky did. I only watch one soap and I watch it on the channel 5 app on catch up.

Ive got Netflix and Amazon and never watch either of them- I tend to usually only watch BritBox which is brilliant. If it weren’t for the fact I’m considering rewatching Orange is the New Black when I’ve finished binge watching the Inbetweeners on BritBox I would cancel.
