Rather than faffing around, just delete it and stop worrying about it. You're not the first to get an email address spoofed and you won't be the last.

Perhaps I did not explain it? My concern was how did they harvest my contacts to spoof."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Hi, Yes spam (or to be more exact click bait) which is spoofed so that it appears to be coming from several names from my contacts list. It is rather strange, but as has been suggested perhaps it is not a big deal and I should just delete it along with the other crap which invades my junk folder."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

As said previously, it's entirely feasible that it is one of your contacts that has been hacked rather than you ... it is probable that you both have a large number of the same contacts.1

Yep. A contact of yours could be the one that has the compromised mailbox and they got the details from there. And are then sending spoofed address'. You did say you were on public WIFI. That's another risk you take being on public WIFI. You never know who's in the middle sniffing the traffic.

Unless you are sending emails using an HTTP page with no encryption. Which is, today, pretty much impossible.1
