Could be. It would be a real pain to change my own e mail address. Maybe that is my only option? I believe I am vigilant. I know even if it comes from a known contact, it may not be safe."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

You need to build spam filters for them based on the address

I get such oddball emails from time to time from a couple of my contacts ... they now just go directly to my Gmail spam folder. (Other emails from them are OK - it's just the ones that look oddball that go to spam. I guess Gmail's heuristics are pretty good).1

That is just the to and from, not the headers of the email. https://sendpulse.com/support/glossary/email-headermissile said:

That is how I identified the sender e mail address, company name, ISP and physical location. Doesn't really help me.dan958 said:

So now you know its just spoofing. All you can really do is set up a decent spam filter that blocks based on key words. Assuming you already have SPF and DKIM records already set upmissile said:

Not so easy to set up a spam filter. As you may note from the two examples I posted there is no common key word.
SPF and DKIM records would be quite laborious to set up and I am not sure how that would help as there does not appear to be a common identifier? A bit like a sledge hammer for a walnut.
