I have malware on my computer which is sending me messages which appear to come from my own address book>

Malwarebytes reports no threats detected.
Ccleaner cleaned.
Still got malware. Any suggestions?

Looks like someone has 'stolen' your email address - nothing you can do apart from block the senders address.

Hi, That seems unlikely. Malware comes from several names in my own address book. I suspect these are being generated on my own computer. I have changed my password.

I have used view sender> Received: from skylightshomes.com (144.172.91.85)

WHere do you store your contacts , on the web on your phone or just on your computer? Have you used public wifi ?

I store contacts on my PC and iPhone. I have used public wifi.

The IP address does correspond to skylightshomes.com

These'll be spoofed so it looks like you've sent them.  Far more likely they weren't sent from your computer in the first place.

I am used to getting spam, but it seemed strange when I started getting these apparently from my own contacts.

Run Malwarebytes Antimalware

If you do have malware on your PC then one of these should find it and kill it.

I have Malwarebytes premium. It reported no threats detected.

One thing of course that could be relevant is that your contact has had their contacts/mails compromised , one of my regular contacts sends me lots of spam usually when they have been on holiday using a hotel/cafe wifi
