hello again
I hope you are all keeping well.
Parking eye have now sent me a letter stating they will reduce the fine to £60 as a gesture of goodwill and not take me to court.
What shall I do? I want this matter dealt with as it is very frustrating and keep thinking about.
However I know I have done nothing wrong & I cant afford £60 right now as I am out of work due to COVID. Do I just ignore the letter and go to court or pay it and have the matter gone.
Thank you all in advanced0 -

Since this last message on here.
Holiday inn the land owners have emailed me confirming they submitted a cancelled request to ParkingEye.
However ParkingEye have emailed me back saying 'you have processed you defence' so they are going to continue taking me to court.
I am quoting this older post because it's clear to me that if I were you, I'd carry on, and make sure you prove with your Witness Statement that the Hotel emailed stating they don't support the charge and want it cancelled. That means, ParkingEye have no 'legitimate interest' in pursuing this claim and it's quite possible that they might cancel this claim before the hearing if they see you are taking it all the way.
You need to understand that the Beavis case depended upon a 'legitimate interest'. Read the Supreme Court decision. Then you will know why it's a problem for this claimant, that they no longer have that to justify their charge and it gives you better prospects of success at the hearing.PRIVATE 'PCN'? ISSUED WITH CCBC from UK PARKING CONTROL LTD - DCB - NOT REGISTERED OWNER OR KEEPER AT TIME
Please help. I have never been put in this position before and it is causing me so much stress. I have emailed DCB to advise I was not the owner or registered keeper at the time of the offence and it dates back to 2019. Claim form arrived yesterday 10.07.23

You must defend the claim and it's easy, and you won't even have a hearing.
If you are on a phone, hit the red plus button below and start a new thread but tell us there, the 'date of issue' on the Claim Firm too right, not the date received.
