Noisy Neighbors

Hello,
I am working from home now due to the Coronavirus situation, my neighbors are also working from home, although they dont seem to be that busy. They bang around all day upstairs, boom, boom, bang, clash, clash, i am not sure what they do, but they just bang around all day. They slam the front door so loudly when going out it sounds like a firework going off. They go out just to put a bean can in the black bin and then come out to put a bit of cardboard in the bin. Then come out again to put a kitkat wrapper in. The reason i know is every time the door goes it makes me jump and i look out of the window and see my neighbor. Then they shout there dogs name and babys name so loudly all day. Its terrible i have wrote them a letter but they ignored it and i have spoken to them. I am wanting to get them back and wondered if you have any advice please, i was thinking about chucking some litter in there garden for the depression they have caused me. Does anyone have any other good ideas please, i would be grateful.

Feel for you! Can you work with music on? Noise cancelling headphones? Or can you move to a different room? We had terrible neighbours move it and changed the floor to wooden and bought a surround sound and sub! The whole house would vibrate when they had the tv on, at Xmas the cards all vibrated off the fire surround! We basically moved our bedroom to the one that wasn’t attached to their house and lived in there for a year until we could move! Not much else to suggest, don’t try getting them back it doesn’t work and they won’t care, probably antagonise them and they will be worse!2

Are you noise sensitive ? In a post last month you were complaining of the noise your parents made going to the toilet. I think you should look at headphones. After a while you will get used to the extra noise and throwing litter in neighbours garden is extremely childish.

Give him a break, he's got a lot going on, plus all the banging about from his parents and neighbors.
Looking at his name I wonder if the is the real Paul Bohill? No wonder he is fed up working from home if he is a high court sheriff0 -
Same situation, everybody is at home and my neighbour also playing loud music which disturb me to concentrate. For a solution I have shifted my workstation to the inner part of my house, now its calm.0

'Getting them back' puts you in the same position - you will become an annoying neighbour. Don't go there.
I'm with everyone else - headphones seem like a good solutionI can't imagine a life without cheese. (Nigel Slater)1
