Parking Ticket Have Received a Claim Form
I am hoping you can help? I have read the newbies section extensively and followed the guidance so far.
In 2017 I received a parking ticket from a PPC and as with most I ignored it and all the letters since. In February I received a
Letter of Claim and again ignored it. I have just received a claim form (claimant is Observices Parking Consultancy Limited OPC) via DCB Legal that gives 30 days notice. As per the newbies thread I have done the Acknowledgement of Service and email requested the SAR from OPC. OPC's data protection officer has emailed me back requesting as below with my questions in bold about each question.
- We would need photographic identification evidence with address to prove that you are the relevant person requesting this data, thus ensuring we do not share anyone’s data with the incorrect person. *Should I supply a copy of my driving licence?*
- We would need confirmation from yourself as to how you would like your personal data supplied to you. This can be via an approved email address supplied by yourself or hard copies via royal mail to an address supplied by yourself also. *I will request the information via email and also posted copies*
- Confirmation that you understand that your data request has no bearing on any or all parking tickets that may be outstanding with OPC and does not count as an appeal or cancellation request in any way. *Should I agree to this?*
Once we have this I am very happy to begin the data supply request.
Thanks, your advice is very much appreciated.Comments

OP
Your story makes no sense. You're either confusing two separate documents - a claim form and a letter before claim - or you only have one
do you have a N1 CLAIMFORM issued by the ccbc? Yes or no
if yes, what is the issue date?
what date did you acknowledge service and did you do that online?
1) blank out dl number photo etc. They don't need them. Point out that the claim form plus a utility bill is sufficient as they have no grounds to doubt your identity. If they disagree they need to confirm to the ico that their doubt is valid, else the 30 day time limit still applies and you WILL complain if this deadline isn't met
3) yes of course. It's just a sar.1 -
Hello Nosferatu
Thank you for the quick reply and sorry for confusing the situation.
Yes it is a N1SDT claim form issued by County Court Business Centre CCBC and the issue date is 31 March 2020
I did the AoS online following the newbies thread and this was done 31 March 2020
Thanks for the guidance with the questions
Yours Greatfully

Please check very recent OPC threads (first 3 forum pages should have them) to read about how to handle the request for photographic evidence for your SAR. Saves having to type the same old, same old on every OPC thread.Yes it is a N1SDT claim form issued by County Court Business Centre CCBC and the issue date is 31 March 2020. I did the AoS online following the newbies thread and this was done 31 March 2020Both those dates can't be right. Important you tell us the correct dates so KeithP can give you your absolute deadlines for dealing with the claim.Know what's pursuing you:

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and has been known to get the charge cancelled.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully, when life gets back to normal, it will become impossible for those scammers who are left to continue their vile trade, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.

NO YOU DO NOT PROVIDE A COPY OF YOUR DRIVERS LICENCE.

My mistake the issue date was 31 March 2020 and I submitted the AoS online on 03 April 2020.0

@beamerguy I have blanked out all of the information on the driving licence so that the only thing visible is my name, signature and address. And will await the farce to begin
