rude response from customer

It was a bit rude, but I can understand why the customer reacted like that. You don't know what kind of pressure he/she is under in his business. If you apologise for your error you may get a response apologising in return for the sharp tone in the email.

I came quite close to being rude in an online chat session the other day. I'd ordered 6 of X and 6 of Y, but received 4 of X and 5 of Y. Y is useless without X.
I lost count of how many times I typed out what they had sent, and what I had ordered, and what I still needed. Yes please, I would like 2 more X and 1 more Y. Yes, I already have 4 X and 5 Y. So I need 2 more X and 1 more Y. Then I will have the 6 X and 6 Y I ordered. No, I did not receive 6 X and 6 Y. I received 4 X and 5 Y. So I need 2 more X and 1 more Y. And so on.
If the OP can't see that it's incredibly irritating to have to repeat yourself several times, or repeat information that should be available to the person you're corresponding with, then they should put themselves in the customer's place and think about it.
Plus if you tell a customer they shouldn't do X, Y or Z, they can always take their business elsewhere.
IF swearing was involved, that's different.

As X only cost £1 each, it's not worth their time or mine to try and sort this out, so I'm hoping I'll be able to buy 2 more Y.Signature removed for peace of mind2 -
I'm losing patience with a company that keep sending me money that isn't due to me anymore as I sold part of my business nearly a year ago. I've asked politely 3 times now for them to delete my bank details so they stop paying me. I've been assured they will, then they pay me again........ I may have to play the GDPR card if it happens again.

Don't be rude back, just be sarcastic.
Here you go: "Please be careful, you don't want to wear out that "!" key on your keyboard."
It'll be a nice story down the dole office.1 -

There has recently been a lot of emails exchanged between us and the customers and therefore some info is bound to get lost and I asked the customer for the code again to continue their project. I got a response advising of the codes and " please don't ask for it again !!! "
I personally thought this was rude of the customer and trying to understand how to respond to make them aware this is not acceptable.
Any thoughts / help appreciated.1
