Have you made a formal complain yet @benbenandme? If not that's an important step to getting it sorted. Once that's done then escalate it to the Ombudsman.
I had to do that with Scottish Power a few years ago and I ended up not paying for more than a year's gas and electric plus I got compensation for the inconvenience!
Keep a record of all the exchanges you have with Shell as it will be important if you do need to contact the Ombudsman.

Yep, I put in a formal complaint on 1st April, it says they respond to it within 10 working days. I havent had any response to it only the twitter conversations which, without sounding rude, seem to be from people who don't really understand much about how they bill / back billing / general customer serviceMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

So this morning I went to Tesco, I could've waited til tomorrow but as its bank holiday weekend it will be rammed, so I went today and got it done. I spent £64 but that included Ester eggs for ds and Mum, stuff for roast dinner on Sunday and a side of salmon which I will chop into portions and freeze, I love salmon and veg and that's such an easy midweek meal. I had a £10 gift card that had been knocking around my bag for months so used that too, so £54 spent. I got loads of veg too, some for Sunday dinner but plenty of other stuff too. I'm out tonight with a friend for pizza, won't be an expensive night as she's off to Devon in the morning so she won't want to be out too late and won't be drinking. I haven't had any alcohol yet in 2022, am seeing how long I can keep this going forMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

My phone is with Tesco mobile, I just went on their website to see how my clubcard points are doing and I have £42 worth. I usually add some to my phone account (£10 points gives £20 credit), and saw that they are changing this in June, they will then only be face value, so I cashed in the lot and added it to my mobile account as you can leave them in credit, at least that way I have £84 of credit and the £25 that I usually pay each month I can move to savings instead.
Similarly I have £102 of Nectar points - I usually spend them when they do their double up promotion before Christmas but they didn't do it last year. Hopefully they will this year, if not they will have to go on food shopping as I don't buy anything in Argos and they don't really do much else.Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Finally the sun is out
Today is a football day for me but I also want to sort some car boot stuff in the garage, I am hoping still to do one on Sunday, if not it will be the Sunday after or the one after that (we get a long weekend that week
).
I'm feeling low again today, no real reason, I just get like this sometimes, particularly in the holidays when I'm less occupied, I feel sad and lonely. Pathetic really as I have so much to be grateful for but sometimes it just feels such a slog with little to look forward to. Might also be something to do with I sent a message to the original hottie a couple of days ago and he hasn't replied. Nothing unusual there, we often go ages without messaging each other but I know its bothered me more because I'm not busy at the moment and I like him too much. I need to distance a bit, not keep checking my phone and concentrate on me.
My Prolific balance is up to £35 this month so far, really pleased with that and it will make a big difference to the gas/electric bills if I can find £20-£50 there every month. I don't think there will be many surveys over the bank holiday weekend though but will check periodically.
Currently I'm sat in the conservatory, had my coffee and about to have breakfast of egg on toast again. Let's see what today brings xMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

So last night was awful. I literally sat sobbing for two hours. Just felt like there was no point anymore, feeling lonely and sorry for myself, it actually scared me how low I felt. I have been doing lots of googling and I think we can safely say its perimenopause
I keep getting these feelings of depression and worthlessness, no motivation etc, which as you know isn't like me. I went back on the pill a couple of months ago as my periods, which have always been regular as clockwork and only last two days, suddenly went all erratic. Well, despite the pill supposedly stopping them I still had a period last month and today is day 6 of this months. Once the doctors opens on Tuesday I'm phoning and asking for HRT. I was in a shop today and randomly burst into tears. Nothing particularly triggered it, was very embarrassing. Sorry if too much information but its where I'm at right now.
On the plus side once the hot flushes kick in I'll have my own built-in heating and won't need to add to the gas bills
