I got my email today saying my housing benefit will go down due to the extra £20 working tax credit. Cheers then !alwaysskint2020 said:Ive had leter from housing benefit saying i will receive less due to getting more tax credits
I would give your local council a call, or e.mail them, and mention the disregard on the Government website, i have seen some people say they have had to do this, and the council are having to manually make the change to disregard the £20 WTC payment , as some councils do not even know about about this

Thanks I sent them your link and they told me they are aware of this but need to wait for their software to be updated and then tested before they can make adjustments. They did say any underpayment will be sorted out. Thanks so much for the link.poppy123b said:mummyof5 said:

That's very useful to know - a case of the computer says "I haven't been told what to do yet". That's a consequence of relying on computer systems and having changes made at short notice.mummyof5 said: Thanks I sent them your link and they told me they are aware of this but need to wait for their software to be updated and then tested before they can make adjustments.
