Let us know what happens 13th Apr as it's bank holiday will there be any payment, hence paid today.
Are they paying out at different times? Is the government stalling, due to millions signing up to Universal Credit?

Yes we have been informed that the May 18th date is the latest by which the (tax credits) increase will come into affect and show on the payment schedule. James

  • So another month to wait....great news....it shouldn't be this difficult really should it? It's not like it's done by hand....

You are not the only one to  have an increase in tax credits due to C19. Tax credits is also paid in arrears and the increase only applied from 6th April, which was just over a week ago and there's been a bank holiday in between that.

Did they say whether that is from 18th May going forward or backdated to include 6th April and 6th May payments? Trying to crunch some numbers.

As it's paid from 6th April then it will be backdated to that date and continue for 1 year.
  • Mine was updated online yesterday.
Does anyone know if this extra money will be deducted from my housing benefit award in the same way that overtime is ?

Extra Tax Credits will be taken into account but I think there have been changes to the way Housing Benefit is calculated by increasing the additional earnings disregard by £20/week to make sure the extra money is not simply lost.

Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.
