Hi, I've re-read this blog post several times and just looking for further clarification please. Does this tax relief apply if your office was still technically open, but you were working from home based on the clear govt. instruction (during both national lockdowns) to "work from home if you can"? Thanks.0

All I did was circulate the micro claim link to people as that's where the official information is (contained within the blog). My workplace is technically open, but the company is still telling us to work from home if we can. They are also encouraging us to claim the tax relief.
Remember, if it was when lockdown first started, or since, you were working from home, following guidelines, that's all HMRC care about.
Maybe @Dazed_and_C0nfused has something else.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -

Seems quite clear to me on gov.uk,Working from home
You may be able to claim tax relief for additional household costs if you have to work at home on a regular basis, either for all or part of the week. This includes if you have to work from home because of coronavirus (COVID-19).
You cannot claim tax relief if you choose to work from home.

Hoping someone can just confirm the following is correct:
After applying for the tax relief last month, my tax code changed from 1250 to 1282 and I can see that this first month with the new code I have received £48 more in my pay packet. So I assume because we are approximately 9 months through the tax year, it is a catch-up payment (53*1.2*9/12)? And then for the next 3 months I will receive £5.30 more each month ? Thanks.0 -

I received my claim last month and my new tax code is on my payslip, however, I am slightly confused as only had an extra £5.20. So do I take it that we are taxed on our £6/week relief? Thanks0
