Yorkshire Energy - Confused ?
Joined YE 2 months ago, they took £65.95 last month and then £65.95 this month which is odd because I gave meter readings last week and it appears they aren't charging me accordingly ?
In my account it now says " You're in debit -£25 "
But the other day it said " You're in credit £65.95 "
Can anyone help me understand this please ? Thanks

Does this mean my bill was £91.00 and then they deducted my current balance from that ?
I live in a one bedroom flat

YE take the 1st D/debit as soon as the account is up and running, (2/3/20?), they also give you a window of a few days, of the date in the month you want to report your monthly reading. - This bills end date is 27/3/20 and your next D/Debit is due on 2/4/20, which will show on the next billFrom the bill cost I guess that the dwelling is all electric - As the weather improves you won't need heating, so the account will swing from a Debit balances to a Credit balance1

Venomx - if you click on "view" you will see the meter readings they have been using. Yours should be there with a letter C against it.
Have you had your final bill and credit from Robin Hood (I think you were with) ?
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -

The fact it says I'm in debit on my account could be because they've only just taken £65 from my bank a few hours ago?0

It takes time to start and stop DD and I see your RHE account was closed on the 27 March so I would expect a DD would still go through. You should get another final bill in due course.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

Thanks I'll call up YE just to clarifyRobin9 said:It takes time to start and stop DD and I see your RHE account was closed on the 27 March so I would expect a DD would still go through. You should get another final bill in due course.
Also don't get why I Wass charged by Robin Hood and YE last month?
Surely my first payment to YE should be today?0 -

Don't worry, it all looks OK. They took the first payment of £65.95, the first bill of £91.00 left a debit balance of £25.05. The second payment of £65.95 will leave the account £40.90 in credit. And so it goes on.
You'll probably end up running a permanent credit balance during summer which will disappear when winter comes.
Your only task is to ensure that your consumption is in line with the annual estimate you gave them and from which the £65.95 was presumably calculated. If you're using more, you'll need to increase the monthly payment.1 -

That explains it thanks.
Is it normal for the payment not to show in my login area for a while? The money has been paid from my bank early hours of the morning0
