We adapted our pland and eat the leftover pie for lunch, and had soup and ice cream last night. I was out at a meeting and back shortly before 22.00 but then decided I was hungry! So cheese and crackers I just know I did not need... I will go soup and egg on toast today as I am on my own. DH is in London... drinking with former colleagues. Your pork dish sounds lovely Mrs C! I'd be surprised if slow cooking didn't mean you could get away with a cheaper cut as well. I always tend to cook pork low and slow anyway to give an almost pulled pork texture. Yum!
We had the planned pasta last night - entirely from storecupboard/fridge and freezer ingredients so the very definition of "reverse planned"! This evening is more of the same as we have agreed on risotto using some more of the ham. I still have a couple of onions (I realise now, too late, that I should have bought an additional bag of the 15p ones as we have less left than I thought and the two bags we did buy both went to making onion marmalade) left so that's fine, and it will probably get the remainder of the green pepper I used half of last night, and some peas from the freezer.
Tomorrow is going to be a curry feast again I think - the smaller tub of curry from last week, the last tub of daal, and a naan bread - all from the freezer. There are still a couple of bags of the mini poppadoms left, and if I remember I'll grab a tub of greek yogurt in Lil's when I shop.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

In true MSE style we reverse planned our treat Tuesday fish & chips into a couple of extra meals and ended up with five servings out of the two portions we'd purchased! Both of us had about half of our fish of choice and less than half a portion each, of chips for dinner. Yesterday for brunch I made a soft taco fish wrap with various salad bits from the fridge and smashed avocado in lieu of guac. OH had his leftover half portion or fish and chips for lunch. Later in the day, I made fake poutine with my leftover chips, using some gravy left from an earlier roast chicken and grated cheese. My kith and kin would be horrified to hear me refer to the concoction as poutine, but it was tasty so I'd best call it cheesy chips with gravy!
Last night was another staycation meal - we went to the local sushi place and enjoyed the slightly inauthentic but absolutely delicious fare gyoza and a platter of mixed rolls - no leftovers to bring home!
Today's breakfast was the last of our MrL free sourdough loaf toasted with poached eggs. OH had his with ham, and mine with avo.
Thursday is usually mince or meat something & I'm craving momos which we can get frozen at a local variety store and cook at home, so it might be a third night of staycation treats, rather than liberating some mince from the freezer.4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Changes to menu plan yet again! We've decided to go away in the motorhome for a few days so now need to move meals around and make some meals which I can just reheat. This afternoon I'm planning on making the Weight Watchers goulash with some chicken mince - not sure who posted the recipe on here but I saved it and going to give it a go. Have decided on a spag bol one evening so will just make that on the day.
Tonight we're going to have a Goan prawn curry and rice - was supposed to be Saturday night's dinner but no way I'm cooking curry in the motorhome! Don't mind when we're away in the summer and can cook outside but definitely better to have that tonight!

I completely agree @joedenise - definitely no fish in the motorhome. DH prefers I don't cook it at home; but the exception is in a foil packet, in the oven, or on the BBQ (also in foil).
Here I finished the last of the courgette soup and another chicken sandwich, and made two portions of chicken soup, to finish off the chicken pickings added to the stock I made. We are out today (community lunch with someone else cooking) and at a quiz night tomorrow evening, so I've left it out for lunch tomorrow.
I've chosen chicken for my chip supper and the last few quiz nights, we have split one and brought the other home and I've made a curry with it. No time this time as we are off on hols from Sunday. Initially at my Mum's then on to Skye. I will freeze it, so it's there for another day. See you all in a couple of weeksSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

@joedenise you were indeed fortunate with your freezer
I was not so lucky, I have a large fridge freezer in the kitchen and a smaller freezer in the cupboard under the stairs
I opened it for the first time in over a week to find it had accidently been switched off
Everything swimming in fishy water and ruined
5 x beef olives, a joint of plate, 5 x herring, 1 smoked haddock, 5 x haddock, 3kg of prawns, a box of mixed fish offcuts and a shelf of 'kids' stuff for unexpected visits - breaded chicken, pizza, fish fingers, waffles etc.
Absolutely gutted but well aware that for me it is not the end of the world
Had I needed to feed a family with that food and had no more money for the month it would be heartbreaking
Totally my own fault for storing something between the side of the freezer and the switch which must have been knocked and flipped the switch off
I'll need a replacement fish delivery4 -
Wow that's a lot of food to lose @Paspatur. So glad you've got enough money to replace the food. Could you put something over the plug to ensure it doesn't get switched off accidentally again?
I think the only reason I didn't lose a lot of stuff was because it was only a matter of hours that it was very slightly ajar but of course it caused a lot of work clearing all the ice and snow off - really annoying as it's a frost free freezer!

I have now removed the stored item which caused the problem so nothing is near the switch now and I will probably check it regularly for a while2

@Paspatur sorry to hear of your freezer food loss. So disappointing particularly as you've lost a great deal of fish.
We're having a use it up day today. Made crumble last night to go with the small portion of bread & butter pudding my son made at a club. Got enough crumble left for pudding tonight plus a small amount of custard.
Will make a pesto puff pastry tart for tea to use up the last of the pepper, mushrooms etc. will add a smoked sausage and use up any cheese that's open. Lunch today will be nibbles - pack of salami and cheese which is open, some satay sticks (open), dips and breadsticks (open), leftover salad veg.
I need to try and squeeze 2 pots of left over pasta bake and a puff pastry sheet in the freezer but its particularly full after getting an land of ice order yesterday. took advantage of their 10 for £10 offer. Might take the chicken drumsticks out of the freezer to defrost and cook them to eat cold on our trip out tomorrow.
