Butterfly_Brain said:I have been rather poorly over the last 18 months but I have my mojo back and have been Spring cleaning in the mornings, one room at a time, I have just hung out two pairs of curtains from the living room today, DS took them down for me and he will rehang them when they are dry.
In the afternoons I have been knitting winter jumpers using my wool stash, I am on the second one now, I think the third one will resemble Joseph's technicolour dream coat though

I have noticed that we have saved nearly £500 since the lock down started by just buying the basics, I will definitely keep that up!Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Butterfly_Brain, I can't remember my Mum cutting up beef with scissors, am sure she got whole pieces of meat and cut the lot herself into appropriate size, however I used to do that when buying stewing steak for DH, as the pieces were huge, wasn't to make it go further as it was just him eating it. I'm vegetarian and hated cutting up raw meat, so was suitably gloved and armed with scissors which was easier than a knife.
Mum used to knit all our cardigans and jumpers, and Dad got her a knitting machine at one point....I can still remember the shouting when the whole row came off the needles, we all kept out of the way. As a teenager, I made a coat of many colours on it with her wool remnants, complete with hood and tassle and absolutely loved it, though I was the bees knees. I did like to be different and not have the same clothes as everyone else. Still do actually.
Cornishchick, I do hope that you have sorted out your meds. At this time, you really need to be looking after yourself and don't need further stress. All the very best.
One of my friend's is having a particularly bad time just now. It's so hard not to be able to see her in person and give her a hug and just have a good old chinwag.

My anxieties have gone through the roof last few weeks/days. I know I need more meds but can't face the phone calls and the surgery to get them. Ironically if I was working still I'd be making those phone calls on behalf of others and think nothing of it.....
thank you for your support xtoday's mood is brought to you by coffee, lack of sleep and idiots.

Well done CC, it takes a great deal of fortitude when you feel low to actually summon up the resolve to do something about it, good girl! Hope you are and continue to feel a great deal better from now on. Even more glad they arranged delivery for you!2

That’s great news CC.Butterfly - haven’t seen you for a long time and I’m glad you’re feeling better now. Love the different coloured knitting. Will be fab!3

@MrsLurcherwalker - what variety is the vine? I'm looking for more things to grow along my fence (8ft posts with wire between them) and it sounds like a potentially useful option.3
