just declared 2 of our cars SORN. nice saving. would suggest you leave at least one car on the road for emergencies.
As long as your 2 cars are not on the road but in your garage/driveway?
Yes, I think most people know what SORN stands for thank you.
When you have been on this forum for a while you will realize a lot of people do not know what SORN stands for and then they come on here for advice. So thank you o:)

Two car household here, and whilst we could make a saving by SORNing one of them, I'd rather keep both taxed and give them a run on rotation to keep batteries charged and everything moving.  We have to make a trip once a week to shop and deliver supplies to two vulnerable relatives, so each car will get a fortnightly trip.
    cool story bro

... not everyone has had any reason to know what it means.

I thought about this.  Must be a great time to be an insurance company.  Everyone paying their premiums but not actually going out.

That's one element but I wouldn't go cancelling insurance as you still need it if your car gets stolen or damaged. :)

To be honest if it was in a garage and not worth much more than the premium I’d be tempted.

this lock down is costing me a mint in delivery charges and food prices as we used to buy from Aldi.

Still think moving VED onto fuel makes sense.

Obvioulsy if the car is worth nothing then that is an option.

I don't as my VED is currently £0.00 per year as I'm in the <100 g/km bracket.

Don't forget if it is stolen you will get billed for any removal/recovery charges, normally your insurance would pay.

I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
