            Which parking firm?
Who is 'the appeal company'?Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and has been known to get the charge cancelled.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully, when life gets back to normal, it will become impossible for those scammers who are left to continue their vile trade, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.

            Hi
I was parked in Manchester, near Victoria station, the company is APCOA and the appeal people are POPLA1

If your appeal to POPLA was rejected, all you can do is sit back and see what APCOA's next move is. As they've never previously pursued any motorist through the courts, I'm sure they're not going to start with you. You could get a debt collector sending you letters, but these can be safely ignored. Please read NEWBIES FAQ sticky, fourth post, to learn about that stage of the process.Come back in the extremely unlikely event of APCOA issuing a court claim when I'll eat my leg we will help you defend it. I don't expect we will see you again! 🙂Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. Many thanks. I will write to them then. I will also put in the letter that I am now out of work so even if they took me to court I could not pay them! Fingers crossed xUmkomaas said:If your appeal to POPLA was rejected, all you can do is sit back and see what APCOA's next move is. "Many thanks. I will write to them then." why ?they are not interested .....just sit tight and have a read up of what you would have to do ...if ... if they continue ...just think of it as a little bit of education Ralph Ralph 1 1
