At some point this evening "Comp-liments" have disappeared from Competitions Time and Sub-Forums. They have also gone when you view "My Profile". They have NOT been replaced with "Thanks".
What is going on?

Could they be implementing "Make it more obvious when a post is thanked/Comp-limented"?16

It happened a couple of weeks ago two for a couple of days. I thought they were supposed to be sorting out the almighty mess this forum has become but it seems to be getting worse as I couldn't see any twitter links the other day without refreshing the page again like it did when they first launched the new website

The very small forum team, like everyone else on the planet, have revised their priorities, and are working flat out (from home) to keep the forum going in this unprecedented crisis. They deserve our respect.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Competition Time, Site Feedback and Marriage, Relationships and Families boards. The impact of COVID-19 can't be held responsible for everything. Less than 2 weeks ago, children were still in school, most of society was functionally relatively normally and it was deemed safe for just under 69,000 extra visitors to stream into Cheltenham for the Gold Cup festival.
Perhaps if we'd had updates it would be easier to appreciate the work going on behind the scenes... For those staying loyal to MSE and struggling to continue comping, (Particularly those who've now been confined to their homes,) we've seen no progress or even a glimmer of hope that things will improve.
Stay safe everyone.Worse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."16 -

They deserve our respect.MSE dumped this 'new improved' forum on everyone a while back, much to most users derision, as borne out by a snagging thread of about 1300 messages in a week. Sadly, in my opinion they were sold a dud and really heads should roll as a consequence, but I'm sure they won't, especially in the current climate. Why a business the size of MSE (which has been reportedly sold for "up to £87mil") needs to rely on a 'very small forum team' many of who are volunteers is quite frankly a disgrace. Rant over!Anyway, hey ho, it is what it is and we have to live with what we have now as there are much more important issues to deal with. Many thanks for trying your best to deal with the mess that has been forced upon you!
