Press 9 on the gas you will see something like 01234.567   and m3; elec   123456.7 and kwH   . They are quite fleeting so you have to be alert.

How did you know what figures to give to Avro and Bulb?
PS Intrigued by box on the wall - photo please ?

You only send m3 readings to your supplier. They work out the kWh.
What m3 opening reading did you provide,  on what date? And do you have a first bill showing that reading?  The bill you posted was based on estimates so don't pay it. You need a bill with your readings, which will probably have a C against them.

If it's any consolation you have got probably the worst meter to read yourself.

They are actually some of the original Smart Meters and would have had a In House Display  -  they will have lost their smart ness with changes from the original installer.  Mine used to be under the stairs and difficult to get at let alone read or take a photo.

Why does the gas meter in the pictures even show a ‘kWh’ in the bottom r/h corner?
major confusion surely over what are actually the correct readings to be sent let alone what’s already been sent.

tim_p -  they are cheap - I think made for the Indian market - and intended to be multipurpose.  -  and will confuse many. - the kwh cannot be right  as that is based on the calorific value which varies (daily)

  • Thank you all for your input. I've sent this reading in as according to Dr Google that's the one to send in. So we shall see.

That's wrong. You have to send m3 reading as I posted above. You've just made a bad situation worse. You're going to have to start sending photos of the m3 because the supplier is going to get very confused.
