Sarah - can you go back to when you changed supplier and give all the gas readings inc the letters E and O  (somewhere on your bill will be a key to what the O stands for.

The bill's estimated (wrongly), assuming that "E" stands for estimate.  I've no idea what "O" means against a reading?
Avro is my last but one supplier, but my bills are still available online.  They don't say what the letters mean, but 'O' seems to be for Opening reading, because that's shown against the first gas reading when I joined them, and it's also the closing reading from the previous supplier.  The other readings have 'C' and 'F', presumably Customer and Final.  Curiously, the first electricity reading shows 'C', not 'O' !
If your meter reading doesn't reach them on the exact date, Avro tend to generate an estimated reading instead and show both the 'C' and 'E' readings.  Normally that's inconsequential because it all comes out in the wash and you get used to it, but it does make the bills look a bit untidy.  When did you join Avro and does the very first Avro reading match up with the closing reading from your last supplier?

You've written down gas readings of 5681 & 5682 on 27th March and yet the bill's showing 6277 for the 17th March.  If the bill had been issued on 27th March using your 5682 reading, it would be about £73 for 2827kWh.  Not bad for a month and 10 days.
Are you taking readings from the In Home Display?  Might just be worth checking that readings are the same on the meters.
But the big question is why are the gas readings on the bill wrong?

Although gas consumption is OK, how did you use over 7kWh of electricity in 3 hours??  That's nearly a day's consumption for homes with gas heating.

On a positive note, well done for being on a tariff with a decent gas price.  Most of the bill shock posts on here come about because people are on daylight robbery tariffs.

I searched for a long time to get a decent tariff. But then getting this bill just blew me out of the water.

Where are you seeing the electricity reading? The readings I gave were from the gas only meter.
From the figures in your initial post 13086 to 13093. I misunderstood, so they're they gas? In which case, what are the middle kWh figures (which have different numbers of digits and thus make no sense)?

The gas bill is an estimate - it's fiction, it means nothing. How long have you been getting estimated bills? When did you switch to them? How many bills since? All estimated?

I'm getting confused - I thought your problem was gas related but your 8.45pm post " I gave them the opening readings as did bulb I think but I'm in conflict with them because they reckon I've used £300 electric in a month."

Those are all gas. They are all from the same box in the wall attached to the gas meter. I've no idea what they all mean I just send them the pictures everymonth and they add the numbers to the system.
I've only been with them a month.

Sorry I should have explained more clearly.
Bulb are saying I used £300 electricity a month and thus arvro people say I used £200+on gas.

Lets stick to Avro and your gas for the moment.
You say "Those are all gas. They are all from the same box in the wall attached to the gas meter. I've no idea what they all mean I just send them the pictures everymonth and they add the numbers to the system.
I've only been with them a month"

By box on the wall do the mean the IHD toy - ignore it and use readings from the meter itself.  Start again with the info you have given us - the reading when you started with Avro  and the reading today please

PS I know the bill you posted was deleted (don't know why as I don't think there were any personal details. As I recall the first reading had a letter E (estimated) , then a reading (with O) and then another E

Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

    I'm really sorry I don't understand.
We don't have a smart meter.
I'll send you the meter reading from last night when I turned the boiler off to this morning when I turned it on. There has been movement.
The brighter pic is last night when I turned boiler off.

Thank you so much for helping me and persevering with my lack of understanding.
