New oven has a plug!

Hi I have a new oven that has a plug but the existing one is hard wired. Can I change the hardwired outlet to a socket and plug in my new oven?
Also if that's possible I'm struggling to find a socket that can be attached to the wire, all I can find is the normal socket that goes on the wall.
Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks

What wire can you not find a socket for?
The normal socket is on the wall?

Someone is going to have to remove the existing oven, anyone with the skills to remove a hardwired electrical connection will have the skills to rewire a less powerful replacement.

I really wouldn't want to run an oven off an extension lead. There's no reason you couldn't replace the existing cooker outlet with a socket, if you are competent to do it yourself, or if you call in an electrician who is.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.1 -
Oven electrical wiring is big in size to allow heavy current carrying capacity. Standard 13A sockets are not designed for such physically big cable, nor are many existing oven electrical connectors designed for smaller cables.Your new oven can be plugged into an existing ring main BS 1362 socket (or indeed one of the older oven outlets that had a 13Amp socket too) but as you need to get your old oven disconnected properly and safely just let the (qualified and competent ) electrician do both jobs.3

Yes new and old are both single ovens. The plan is to put a socket at the end of hardwired cable and plug the new oven. So looking for a socket with a box that can be left on the floor (at the back of the oven)

Op . At the consumer unit is there any switches marked oven and if so what is the rating of the MCB
Best advice is to ensure that new oven's cable is hardwired into a 13amp fused spur.
So is your existing cable wired into 1/ https://www.screwfix.com/p/crabtree-capital-45a-unswitched-cooker-outlet-plate-white/7359k
Or 2/ https://www.screwfix.com/p/mk-essentials-13a-switched-fused-spur-flex-outlet-with-neon-white-with-white-inserts/333ht
Or 3/ Is this what you mean, by floor/box? https://www.screwfix.com/p/masterplug-13a-1-gang-rewireable-socket-white/89675

Screwed to wall? yes. Cable properly secured. yes
Yes by asking for advice OP perhaps does not know the correct safe way of doing all connections? And should get electrician in!
