Hhmmm. 15 months. For anyone who cares, I apologise.
In short, we agreed himself would go self employed. It didn't work, and he spent far too long unemployed. He just started back at work a week ago. I am still working at the same company in Leeds. We moved a whole lot nearer to Leeds to shorten my commute and make it cheaper. We ran up a whole load of overdraft debt.
My last signature, dated 19th March last year shows my overdraft of £1,588.98, Citi Card of £463.24, Egg Card of £1,560 and Sofa at £235. Total = £3,847.22
I had an insurance payout during the year from a car accident about 3 1/2 years ago, which cleared a lot of the overdraft and egg card, but also had to start paying for another furniture loan. Today my debt stands at:
overdraft - not sure, about £2,200 maybe? will work it out on payday (mostly interest free)
egg card - £329.04 (not interest free, but account closed)
furniture - £741.78 (interest free)
parents - £650 (interest free, lovely parents *mwah*) Total est = £3,921
That sucks, although it's kinda hilarious that I have spent a year living on the edge financially, only to still be in almost the same position!
Him indoors has overdrafts, loans and cards that we will sort out together. We are just waiting for him to be paid on the 28th July so we can start working out a proper budget.
I didn't want to come here all the time we were getting in a worse situation month by month, as it seemed pointless. Now however, the tunnel is no longer burrowing deeper, and I feel there may again be light at the end! I shall be back at the end of the month with a full SOA.OD £lots Egg Card £329.04 Parents £650 Sofa £741.780 -
