My recommendation was simply for everyone (including user "Morglin") not getting a separate recycling collection to limit the amount of recycling waste presented for collection by storing it temporarily if space is available.
Unlike household waste, this will not become a hazard to health.

    This is not a generalisation.

My council I'd restarting the recycling and garden/kitchen waste collection but every four weeks instead of two. That's fine with me as I usually put the recycling bin out every four weeks anyway. It's been really strange having to put my recyclables in with the general waste which filled up much quicker.

Council restarting recycling kerbside collection for paper, plastic and cans - but not glass - every 3 weeks, instead of the usual 2, at the same time as general waste.

The problem with this thread has always been that every Council differs, not just in the way it is dealing with the Covid19 crisis, but also their  normal waste collection arrangements.

My own Council ceased to collect garden waste over a month ago, but has continued as usual collecting general waste and recycling on alternate weeks. Our local tips are closed though and the Council's free collection of large items like furniture and white goods is also not  currently available.

My council has shut tips but has not changed any rubbish collections.
