Actually I think it's you who owes bradders an apology....the link you've quoted says that if the stay is after 23/4 then the only option is to consult the travel insurance providersassy-one said:
You'd still be eligible for a refund.hf said:Yes they booked saver rate
Please ignore "bradders" as they've posted on several threads incorrect information without source.
They will be entitled to a refund or date change.0 -
Ha! Apologise when ready, Sassy. That link does say no refunds for the Saver Rate bookings as I stated and its just a voucher for a date change.0

Considering I have personally spoken to both Travelodge and Ibis last week regarding a few bookings, they are flexible and are giving refunds.

Yes how dare I give advice based on what the Travelodge website actually says

Also, if you do research prior to posting here you'll find all over social media, Twitter in this case, they are giving refunds, as someone else had one days ago for a Saver Rate.
I just hope that they return here and not take the post you made that they wouldn't get one wasn't the last they'll do about the refund.
Regardless anyway, if you paid on a Credit card you could claim back the amount.
The post about won't get a refund was not only wrong but also bad advice.

If they've cancelled your booking (rather than you cancelling), it could be worth quoting their T&C's. Can't see anywhere where it says it doesn't apply to saver rate bookings:hf said:Thanks everyone for imput. I will write asking for refund and hope for the best.6. If an event outside our reasonable control (as explained in paragraph J6 below) is reasonably likely to prevent us from performing your booking we may cancel your booking on notice to you (including by email or via the My Travelodge portal) and will refund in full any payment made by you in respect of such booking to the payment card that you used to make the booking, including any food & beverage Extras but excluding all other Extras (which are non-refundable) and any booking fees.1
