You'd win at court with that then, if they suggest '4 hrs' on the PCN.

-I fail to understand how if they say 4 hours or 5 hours they're wrong because I still stayed longer than advertised?

The stores were busy with people stocking up.  The queues at the tills were long so why the HECK didn't the retail park tell PP to turn the cameras off?

-The bowling place wasn't that busy if I'm honest. (or we're being 'clever' about this?)

Then only Plan C is defend in court, that costs you nothing and risks no CCJ or anything

    - worst case scenario would be I have to pay court fees, right? Which are likely to to be quite large? (I like to know what I'm getting myself in to before I go ahead with an appeal) (after I've complained to the retail place first, of course)

Sorry that I'm nervous, I just like to understand and prepare myself.
I feel like my defense isn't very strong. But if you think so ill try my best.

Typical cost of failure in the small claims court is around £200.

That £200 includes everything - what they are claiming and all fees included.

Right, that's enough talk about losing. You're a long long way away from any court hearing.

A landowner complaint is free and if it results in a cancellation then job done , irrespective of signage or timings or contracts etc , so has your complaint been made ?

Did PPL follow POFA ? Or not ? Yes or no ?

(Apologies, just got home 20 minutes ago) I'm having trouble finding who to actually contact. I've found that the owner of the retail park is M&G Real Estate. Their contact information is confusing as they have an email for every department but 'estate'.

I was thinking email would be best as it would be in writing then.
Would you suggest I email 'General enquiries' requesting an email address for 'Real Estate'?

send them the email complaint and pcn reference etc, attach a copy of the pcn too , ask them to cancel it or to pass it onto the correct department plus to email you back with the correct contact details too, do as much as possible to get it cancelled by the people who engaged the parking contractor

I have now sent a complaint to the management of the retail park plus the Tenpin Bowling.
    Thank you.
    *fingers crossed*

    Court fees are fifty quid.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Ah you lovely people!
Thanks to your advice, I woke up today to an email from the manager of Tenpin bowling to say he will get it cancelled!

All that worry for nothing! I'm sorry to have caused you annoyance. I would never have thought to complain to the shops as I thought if the parking was private it has nothing to do with them.

I've heard I need to wait for a reply from Premier Park now? Or should I email to tell them to expect contact from Tenpin?

    Thank you again.
