How does this relate to the Secure Messaging? What kind of update are you looking for?crues said:Martin some months ago discussed the Santander123 account in light of interest rates changing and converting a 123 account to an Everyday account and keeping same account number etc
has there been any update on this1 -
If they don't want you to phone, they should bring back secure messaging.1

Is it so hard to understand that they have to make difficult decisions what they can reasonably do with the resource they have available? Yes, we are getting carp service right now but it's carp times.Over62 said:If they don't want you to phone, they should bring back secure messaging.0 -
Hi colsten, thanks for taking the time to reply. Strangely I don't get quite the same screen display on their homepage as you do. The live chat button doesn't appear on a bar on the right as shown in your screenshot. On mine there is a large square below which shows "Chat with us", however, once clicking this and I logging on I am taken to my accounts page and no "chat with us" button to be found for love nor money. I see you can apply for an everyday account, however I will still have my old 123 account open and I don't want another current account with them as I already have a couple of current accounts elsewhere.

Once you've logged in, have you tried the "Upgrade current account" option on the right hand side?Delmar said:Hi colsten, thanks for taking the time to reply. Yes, tried this Speedbird676 but don't want a new account. Thanks. All solved now.0

Oh, spoke too soon. Just got an automated message back (which I forgot I received last time, doh!):"Thank you for your email
This service is no longer available, please use Chat, via our website, your Online or Mobile Bank.
For Chat go to ..." etc etcI'm sending them a letter

This won't give you a new account, it will convert your 123 account to a different account type.Delmar said:Yes, tried this Speedbird676 but don't want a new account. Thanks. All solved now.
I may have misunderstood, but isn't that what you're trying to achieve?1 -
Oh, I see. I was thinking it would leave me with 2 accounts open. Do you know, by any chance, if it gives you the same account number when you "upgrade"?
