We have been told our self-van hire agreement is unaffected thankfully.
Phew! That must be a relief. That was something I had thought of but we really aren't in a position to move ourselves due to creaky bones etc

Well that's it. We are completely screwed. Our removal company cancelled and others I have called are only honoring the bookings they had already taken for people that have exchanged. Completion day will be bitter sweet.

If anyone knows of a company working in Norfolk ..... ;-)
We are in Norfolk and resorted to a self-hire van!

Ours too though it's yet to be confirmed if the actual sale/purchase will go ahead.

We had a new neighbour move in yesterday so at least some of them are still working.
  • We have exchanged with completion 3rd April. Buying a new build that was due May so we’re going into temporary accommodation with our good going into store. The removal company have said currently they’re still operating. We’ve asked our buyers to agree to defer the completion but they’re reluctant to do so (they’re not selling their current home) our concerns are firstly not having any removals or storage and secondly being in a small static for many months to come. Strange situation to be in but will take each day as it comes and be grateful for our health.
