EDIT
He's now wondering that probably a desktop would be better
Friend has purchased a working farm that was previously owned by a 'big company'.
The farm manager, who is staying on, has a laptop but 'big company' want it back, so friend needs a replacement.
Laptop, 15"+ screen to do various business program data entry etc
250/500 GB SSD?
8GB RAM?
i5 minimum?
I sort of wondered about buying one with a HDD and swapping it for a SSD as I will probably do a clean W10 install initially.
Suggestions please??

Business use so:
- important to factor in backup option
- spec recommended by software suppliers? possibly not processor/graphics intensive so save money on processor and use for more storage/memory say?
- to be used in more than 1 location - office, home? networking required?
- large external monitor to view invoices on 1 screen, spreadsheet on 2nd?
- smaller laptop screen for portability with external monitor for office use?

Don’t delay your purchase, one council has put in an order for several hundred laptops from HP for home working, multiply that by dozens of councils/organisations and you’re in the same situation as toilet rolls...1
