TAP refusing a refund

Booked a two leg one-way flight with TAP. They've cancelled leg 1, rendering leg 2 useless having offered a replacement flight on leg 1 that lands after leg 2 takes off. Oh - and its from a different airport! They have offered a "refund" in the form of a voucher to be used on a future flight, which is useless to me, as I can't imagine needing to fly with TAP in the future. They refuse point-blank to refund the money; it's less than £100 so I can't claim on my credit card under section 75. Any suggestions, or do I need to write this off and put down to experience? Thanks in advance.

When were the flights? were you given a reason for the cancellation? ask them to re-route you with a different airline if necessary so it gets you to the correct airport with time to catch your 2nd flight.0

Yep, can we have alot more detials, flights dates etc.Google regulation EC 261/2004. All the info you need is in there for your right to refund or re-routing (on a different airline if necessary).Gahan is the legal case law for a 2 legged flight on single ticket. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Thanks guys. You helped me massively with a Jet2 claim a few months back, but wasn't sure where I stood on this one.
They've given no reason at all (although I guess the C-19 disruption is obviously what caused it). The flights booked were:-
FNC - OPO 07.05 - 09.00 then OPO - LGW 09.50-12.10 (both TAP flights)
The email doesn't say they've "cancelled", it says that "changes have occurred on your flights", but the replacement first leg is FNC - LIS 10.05 - 11.45, which is renders the whole trip impossible to complete. They have made no effort to contact me about alternative arrangements, and only refused the refund in response to a Tweet.

What dates? and when were you told?0

26th March. And I was told 17th0

And have they explained why they have sent to to a different airport?Sounds like an admin mix up to me. Is your first flight actually still listed? If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

I can't see your original flight listed FNC - OPO 07:05 listed so it has been cancelled. Your journey can't be completed. You are entitled to a refund under regulation 261/2004You can fly direct FNC to Gatwick with BA, fairly low cost £67. If this is less than you paid for your TAP flights, I would push for the refund and buy BA tickets yourself. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

I cant complete the journey anyway as I cant get to FNC! So how should I go about chasing the refund? they won't answer the phone, and the website only offers vouchers.0

Responses from TAP on Twitter confirm that the only "refund" is a voucher for future use, which is useless to me. Any suggestions about how to chase this down please? It was under £100, so I cant do a section 75 claim on my credit card.0
