USA flight full refund

How is it that the US government have banded European passport holders flying to USA for 30 days and we can only request a free date change or future flight voucher? If we are banned from flying why can’t we have a full refund? I don’t have any reason to fly again this year now that I can’t fly in April. The only way I would get a refund is if the airline cancels the flight, which they don’t seem to be doing due to still allowing US passport holders onboard.
This seems to be discriminatory 😐

Expect drastic flight reductions in coming days. It may not be cancelled now but may be shortly. Airline will not be flying 1/4 full planes with just US citizens onboard for long.0

Some airlines are offering refunds, Virgin Atlantic for example, some are offering nothing more than a voucher and warning that if the ticket price is higher when you come to use it, you have to pay the extra. People won't forget who did the right thing at a time of crisis0

This seems to be discriminatory 😐Discriminatory in what way, that you’re not American?
Of course they’re allowed to allow their own citizens back in and prevent travel to others, that’s just common sense!0
