Amazon have hiked the cost of Toilet Roll to silly levels

ie a 9 pack of Andrex - previously around £10 to almost £30 in one case

There must be a law to stop this profiteering ?

So far only the law of supply & demand. But when this is over people will remember. Last time Mrs Un went to pick up my prescriptions a couple of weeks ago she noted our usual chemist, an independent was flogging facemasks at £15 a pop. I'm never using that chemist ever again

ps I  changed the original numbers from 24 to 9 because as I was watching Amazon -  24 packs SOLD OUT - So people appear to be willing to pay this much ....

Bloody daft paying that much for bog rolls

Especially as the longer this goes on we will be getting more and more constipated due to the lack of fresh fruit and veg available to us

Our local hauliers are no longer travelling to the continent

Most of our fruit and veg comes in from there

As a person who only eats seasonal and locally grown, Im going to be ok on a diet of cabbage, carrots and spuds, others will suffer, or should I say their guts will

Agree with Mr Un....if places are trying to profiteer, avoid at all costs, and let people know, so that they can too. We have a helpline in north Cyprus to report those who are trying to make easy money as in profiteering for basic household goods, is there something similar in UK?

That is a harsh assessment of a regulated profession - it's just not on to profiteer like this. Consider that the increased RRP reflect hikes in the price from the supplier.

I cannot speak for Amazon, however.

Amazon have done no such thing. It was a 3rd party seller that has since been removed. Same as sellers on ebay doing similar.

Yeah, people really do need to learn to differentiate between Amazon themselves and Amazon Marketplace.

So another completely pointless thread with a misleading title.
Andrex 9 toilet rolls:
£4.49 at Amazon
£5 at Sainsburys
£4 at Morrisons
£4 at Asda (ooh look its even the quilted version)
£7.50 for 16 at Tesco
Not much in stock but no-one profiteering, except dodgy third party sellers and ebay con artists.
