we had a curb pick up order this morning but i needed (wanted) some lettuce for tacos and curbside had none so I popped into the market next door. Big mistake! I spent $95 on impulse items...meats and cheeses and ice cream and other things we hadn't had in a while but didn't truly need. May must be better.4

Oh boy. Ok I messed up again this month 🙈 started out ok but I’ve been ordering a weekly gousto box which was more than i would usually spend a week on food but made me feel secure I had food coming. But then I had a few online deliveries and topped up household items and snacks 🙈 plus I had to replace everything I’d bought last month in my freezer after I left the door open and everything defrosted 🤦♀️ Ok starting again next month and determined to finally get back on track. I’ve cut my gousto meals down to 3 instead of 4 saving me £5 a week and I’ll use the stuff from the freezer to make up the rest of the meals. Hopefully back on track for next month4

Hi all, I've been buying extra store cupboard bits this month as my husband is being made redundant and will therefore loose his staff discount. I'm hoping it'll mean May's spends are quite low. Currently we have spent £549.77, think we'll be close to £630 by the time I receive my last shop tomorrow. Our budgets are very different at the moment, as we aren't spending anything on petrol, days out etc so can afford to spend a little more to keep the kitchen well stocked.Grocery Challenge 2024
