Spent today £1.40.
We had an A&C delivery today but the only thing out of this budget was OHs milk - means I don't need to do any shopping until Wednesday at the earliest after I finish work. Trying our best to reduce the amount of times we go out to do anything. Everything else came out of the entertainment budget (alcohol and snacks for a zoom drinks with some of our friends 😁 - the small bonus is that it was cheaper than the pub) so the delivery charge also went out of that budget too.
Didn't order a fruit and veg box this week as I went through everything we had in the fridge, freezer, fruit bowl and cupboards and worked out a meal plan from it for me and the OH said he had everything he needed for the week as long as he got his milk. We may need a few extra odd bits later this week but didn't want the possibility of wasting any produce or money.
OH is making the slow cooker meatballs with cheese again which he'll have with spaghetti for dinner today.
I'm having vegan japanese curry with rice for dinner - yesterdays leftovers.
£146.86/£200.
£53.14 left.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy8 -
Had my Tesco delivery, bless him the driver rang up, he'd gone to the wrong part of the road, easy done as he is helping out in a different area to where he normally is.
A few things missing, thought I was doing well getting plain flour, and a replacement, which he forgot to tell me about, mild cheddar is not any thing like as tasty as red Leicester.:/
Another £62.81 added to the total.

A spend this week (technically Sunday) to declare of £15.05 - I've had another crack at making homemade quesadillas (completely from scratch) and it turns out the trick is to make them with hot water so the dough comes together better! Also got lots of tins so I've made a load of slow pasta sauce with ludicrous amounts of garlic, and some tofu to become tofu "steak". I'm just lucky my local shop seems to have lots of most things, although they've been out of flour for about a month now.Grocery Challenge

I'm still here but my budget has gone to pot this month due to a combination of DD2 being at home making four of us and not having any online deliveries. We're also eating a bit more separately...indulging ourselves a bit! I've had to rely on the local Coop and Tesco which aren't as cheap as online. They do have most stuff in, and thankfully I'm less inclined now to buy random things 'just in case'. I'm trying to get there at 7am, lucky that we live so close!
I've also had Abel & Cole deliveries all month and I was toying with cancelling this week but I think I'll keep it. I love getting a box of veg, that's my perk.
Hope everybody who has had the virus is feeling better. Look after yourselves and stay safe.
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.8 -
I'm beginning to think that £300 wasn't terribly realistic... £20 went W8rose-wards today for a top-up of fruit, bread & veg, plus the green tea my daughters adore. So now I have £50 to see the 4 of us through to 30th; if it was essential, I could do it, but I do worry that we'll have to isolate, with DD1 working in a large & busy supermarket, so I don't want to stint on the fresh stuff too much. Luckily it's a challenge, rather than a necessity, so I shan't fret overly if I go a bit over.Angie - GC Aug25: £106.61/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)8

My budget has gone well out of control this month. I'm up to nearly £550 spend when I was planning £311. DD has been staying and she likes the expensive yoghurts, herbal teas etc. I've also had to top up the ordinary tea and coffee and buy loads more milk because of course we are all home a lot lot more now. I don't think I have bought much extra stuff but I have struggled to get purchases into the freezer occasionally, and the fridge has never looked so happy. I'm expecting May to be a high spend month too, but hopefully we can use up some supplies and it might bring the overall budget down. The benefits of being able to spend a bit more time together are worth it thoughOSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

spent $12US for 3 dozen farm fresh eggs. I need to go round and pick them up. I will stop and pick up my new bread knife as well. There are a few bits and bobs (i LOVE this expression!) i 'COULD' pick up at the store but i don't know if they are worth the risk of going to the store.8
